Canton Moms was started by a group of parents who were frustrated with the endless fundraisers we needed to do to help earn money for the PTA; tired of the useless gadgets we never used; tired of the cakes, candy and cookie dough that just added to our hips; and tired of the neighbors that pretended they weren’t home when our kids would knock on their door.

We wanted another way to earn some money for our school and something that would provide real value to other parents, as well as ourselves, in understanding and learning ways to help our children in their school life and personal growth.

We developed on-line presentations (called webinars), offering parents of school age children, through a PTA fund raising program, an on-line, inter-active presentation by recognized “experts” in childhood issues. These presentations provide real solutions to real problems.

You’ve probably heard of a Webcast. Oprah has been doing them with her viewers for about a year now, as well as Network News Broadcasts, TV shows and a host of other media.. Ours are pretty much the same except ours are called Webinars because they are much more interactive and on a much smaller scale, so everyone gets a chance to ask questions of the expert during the actual presentation.

Does It Require Any Technical Skills?

Don’t worry, none are needed. Parents get to watch and interact with the presenter at home through their own computer. All that is needed, beside the computer, is an internet connection.
